Internship 2 - Damansara
So yeahh.. Time goes too way fast! It has been my second internship, so my second internship placement is also having a relation with the first internship. Last time, I had internship in LMKL and now I have moved to this internship where my head chef has worked in LMKL and I knew her from there. Short story, I just started my second internship a week ago. For that week, it was nothing much to learn, I just learned how to be patient, team work and help each other because there was not a production week, it was a cleaning week. Since my company is renovating so there are many things need to clean and to arrange.
I just do baking since 2 days ago. It was great! After I have been away from it long time, about 6 months I guess, I never bake anything and do any cakes or breads. First of my baking, we went to our boss's house, and her house is spectacular I can say. Particular rich people man! So you can imagine it. I like to be there, with the windy and the dog! OMG! Talk about the dog, I could not forget him. He is called as one of the bad people in power puff girls movie. He really likes to lick, i suppose. I played with him for few minutes, pat his back and suddenly he leaned on me and tried to lick me for 3 times. I shocked! Because his face is SOOOO BIG! LOL. But i had fun though. And our red velvet and carrot cake were quite success.
The next day, I bake some breads for sample, and it was cool. I did the filling bun with kaya, red bean and sausage. The sausage was not so hard to do meanwhile others two buns were seriously hard! To wrap the filling inside with dumpling method, ishhh... I could not say it. I practiced in my working place but still, I still far away from okay. NOT GOOD OR PERFECT, but OKAY! The filling was out from center, and the dough are not balance, for the upper part, it was too thin layer, so my filling could be seen from outside although it has been wrapped. It is my big challenge. I try my best! 3 months dude.. I hope I can do this well and satisfy my chef and be proud of myself and bring this technique along.
Okay then.. See ya! I will continue another week tomorrow, and HELLO SEPTEMBER =)
PS: Hope September will bring good days and happiness along with this torturing and happy internship! Fingercrossed. I hope a lot of knowledge, technique, exposure of the pastry and breads would be absorbed by me and bring to INDONESIA for my skills. Tehee~
